Behind Aila are visionaries in business sustainability responsibility. We are a group of people united by the desire to make sustainability clearer, more accessible, and more transparent.

Juulia

Juulia is Aila’s co-founder and CEO, who has dedicated her career to leveraging technology and innovation to address the climate crisis. With roots in Lapland, she developed a deep connection to nature from an early age. She is the first Finn to be selected for the Apple-funded Changemakers for the Planet program in recognition of her work in advancing sustainable development. Juulia is committed to making the green transition accessible to all SMEs.

Martta

Martta is Aila’s COO and co-founder. She has a strong understanding of European sustainability reporting regulation and compliance, and she knows how to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable frameworks. Practical and solution-oriented, Martta ensures that Aila’s solutions truly address the everyday challenges SMEs face. Outside of work, she loves spending time in nature.

Veikko

Veikko is Aila’s CTO and Lead Developer, with extensive experience in both software and business development. He especially enjoys projects where he can combine these two areas. Sustainability has always been a core part of Veikko’s values, and he has consistently brought a sustainability mindset into the companies he has helped to grow. In his free time, Veikko enjoys outdoor activities such as endurance sports and birdwatching.

We share the belief that business sustainability belongs to every company, not just large corporations. Our goal is to make reporting as easy as possible and to provide SMEs with concrete tools to demonstrate their sustainability and improve their operations.
