Is an EPD mandatory?

An EPD is not directly mandatory for individual manufacturers, but in practice it is increasingly becoming a requirement in many projects. Without an EPD, construction projects must rely on generic average data, which can weaken a product’s position—especially in low-carbon and public procurement projects.
